“External Storage and File Sharing”

Three options for external sharing and file sharing are compatible with WordPress: Dropbox, Google Drive, and Amazon S3. When owning or managing a webpage these options ensure security and protection from potential loss or damage. Further, they increase performance of the site relieving the load on the server. These types of services are an integral part of owning enhancing your website. It allows collaboration between clients, users, and team members. Additionally, they make large file sharing a possibility through uploads online or through email.

Each service like anything has its pros and cons to be sifted through before making a decision. Each webpage owner or manager must decide which one caters to their needs or the needs of their clients the best. Here is my review of each of the three options I listed above:

  • Dropbox is accessible to store and securely access files anywhere. Many webpage owners and managers see it as a reliable source highly compatible with a number of platforms and devices. On the downside, if your need for storage is larger than the free amount given, a paid plan would be required. Not only can that become pretty pricy for big websites, but it can be hard when dependence lands on a third party provider.
  • Google Drive has flexible storage options available. They allow files to be shared individually with one specific person, or publicly available to access. The collaboration features allow multiple people to access the files and work on them at the same time. Plus, they generously offer a good amount of storage space that is free. On the downside, a paid plan would be necessary if the free storage allotted is unable to meet the website needs. Problems may arise from only depending on storage that is online.
  • Amazon S3 is a cloud storage solution that allows websites to handle a high in fluctuation of traffic without affecting the performance of the site. It has great backup features, highly secure, with excellent durability. They offer a limited twelve months on a free storage tier to start up with as a new user. Storage class will determine the cost of the storage based on GBs per month. On the downside, being technical savvy may be necessary to configure properly and get it all setup.

“What I’ve Learned About Plugins”

Plugins, also known as add-ons or extensions, can make or break your website. They are pieces of software code that can be installed and activated within a WordPress site. These codes modify functionality, enhance components, and add new features allowing the building of unique cites. Look at the reviews and read experiences to determine if this extension is a good match. Maintenance will need to be done to keep the plugin up to date and working properly.

The utmost importance should be taken to ensure plugins are from safe and trusted sources. Looking to sources that have a good reputation, regular updates, and positive reviews help weed out poorly coded or outdated plugins that can conflict with the performance of the website. Make sure the plugins come from the official repository, or WordPress dashboard.

I personally like the cost calculator builder plugin created by StylemixThemes. It is compatible with WordPress, last updated 2 weeks ago, has over 200 ratings that are 5 stars, plus it is intuitive and super easy to use for visitors to use. There are a few others, but they only had a couple reviews. I felt I would enjoy one from an author on the Envato Market that you can connect with on multiple platforms.

“Making a Name for Yourself on Social Media”

A name can literally make or break a business. It could be the leading reason a business is chosen by a customer. People are moved by emotion, and a name can really create a positive feeling within a person causing them to be drawn to a company. The name should be connected to the services provided, a descriptive character of the owner/s of the business, and/or what a customer will gain by working with the business. It’s important to make sure the name is not too long, easy to remember, and available for use. Watch this very informative You Tube video by Jonathan Bell a naming specialist with over 30 years’ experience in the field discussing, “How to Create a Great Brand Name”. This talk really gets the creative juices flowing of how a name can be more becoming memorable, and inspiring.

(TED Archive, 2016)

It’s imperative to make sure the name is free from use by another business. If a name is taken, and legally protected from being used by anyone else. There are a few online sites you should visit once you have decided on some business names. These websites will help you with finding out availability:

Once you have chosen a name that is available to use you need to check if the social media sites have your business name available to use as a username. This is the site I like to check allowing me to save time by searching multiple social media sites at one time. There is no reason to spend too much time on this if you are only going to work on one platform. Depending on the final report on Name Checkr, you may find that you want to change or alter your business name. You can connect with Name Checkr at Name Checkr (www.namecheckr.com) After the final decision is made, I will create a generic email to start setting up my business with the proper government entities, and social

media sites. This is a good foundation for making a name for yourself on Social Media.

“Why I chose to be a BOSS Creator, which is a Business Operating Support Service Creator?”

My website was created by design with specific information to attract a specific audience I can assist. A website is not the first thing that was put in motion when creating my business. I first started with what I love to call inspiration. The first step was to reflect internally and get myself in the correct space. It was a space free of lack, or desperation, but a place of honor to me and others. I understood that I wanted to be involved in something that converted my passion into an exchange of service to people aligned with my heart. The flow of energy now could be positive and upbuilding. My business had to offer positivity with a desire to fulfill upbuilding services.  Gaining comfort with my value in accepting payment for my services that are advantages for customer had to be balanced. A business must begin free of blocks and uncertainty. Confidence and trust must be alive to create the best foundation for a flourishing business. Plus, it’s important to ensure your passion will be appealing to consumers.

Having many years of experience building and running businesses built my knowledge of how to support others to transform their passions into being in service to others while gaining revenue. Supporting others to their independence through their passions leads them to the ultimate freedom. In addition, being from certain cultures and classes gave me the opportunity to master rising above resistance. This granted me a special empowerment I can awaken in others allowing them to ebb and flow through becoming a BOSS with grace and ease. Next, I had to make sure all the middle pieces were aligned and set in motion all the way through the last step I call taxation. The taxation step makes sure all the legal aspects are in place and the proper business structure is ready for offering services.

This website is my platform to display information, offer services, and connect with clients who would love to transform passions into a service-based business. I will have posts, videos, and links that will be available for review to both clients, potential clients, and others who just need self-directed support. I know sometimes you just need some information to get to the next level. This website will help those individuals as well. I will lead people to my website by marketing on social media and by word of mouth. Social media is very important to businesses and can really set you apart from others within the market. My services will be mostly virtual, and more aligned to residents of Arizona; however, certain aspects can be utilized by anyone.

“What I Learned About Categories and Tags”

What are categories, tags, and excerpts and how do they exist within a post? How can you plan to develop and use them for your business website platform? In this post, I will answer those questions whiles using this post to example the creation of a category, tags, and an excerpt that is perfect for this post. All of them can be equally beneficial to making your post more memorable and findable. You want your post free from becoming lost in a sea of information.

Categories promote information to be found on your website more efficiently. They assist search engines to recognize your content, boost your ranking, and create your content marketing strategy and make the future creation of posts more organized. It allows your page to be easier to follow, like a well written speech. Categories make up the navigation or sidebar so the fewer is better if you are a smaller business. Tags are simpler but still powerful. Tags are a few words that describe what the post is about. It is not recommended to make one of the tags the name of the category the post is covering. They help search engine crawlers understand the content on your site. Make sure they are unique to your post and self-explanatory. Lastly, an excerpt is a synopsis to your post using only a couple short and concise sentences. If you do not make one, your host may use the first 55 words of your post to create one.

Your post must be fresh, creative, informative, and navigable. Each part is imperative to the livelihood of your website and can really transform the public’s view. A website is created to gain exposure to your ideal clients. My posts are being developed to assist and nurture other entrepreneurs creating their passions into ways to be in service to others while making a profit. I am promoting exactly what I am assisting others in doing. I am using my business passions and love of people to be of service to others, so we can all elevate one another to our evolution. A real aligned business creates an environment that supports an enjoyable energy exchange. My website post will support teaching how to run a business made up with many parts starting with the inspiration to taxation.
